WIKIPEDIA: According to the Bible, Galilee was named by the Israelites and was the tribal region of Naphthali and Dan, at times overlapping the Tribe of Asher's land.

Bnei Bilhah are of an ancient origin. In the Hebrew migratory tradition begun more than two millennia ago, an Israeli remnant migrated into Africa with many Danites from Northeast Africa migrating back to their tribal allocations in Israel, such as Tel Aviv, besides emerging Naphtalite communities throughout Mainland Africa, including Levitical Islanders from Haiti, Jamaica, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, as well as a Mixed Multitude comprising the African Diaspora from the United States of America settling Southwest of the Sea of Galilee.

Wil Gafney: Mother Bilhah, womb-slave of Israel, we call your name. Ashé!

Wil Gafney: No comfort is offered to Bilhah in the text. Was she supported by other slave women, by Zilpah who shared her lot in life?
Wil Gafney: when I pray the Amidah, I add Hagar, Bilhah and Zilpah
Wil Gafney: Given the absence of Lavan’s wife from the narrative it is entirely possible that Lavan used Bilhah sexually
Wil Gafney: Bilhah’s body is used again in Gen 35:22. Re’uven ben Leah, Ya‘aqov’s firstborn son, rapes Bilhah. That Bilhah does not consent is indicated by the Hebrew, vayishcav et-bilhah, "he lay Bilhah." There is no "with" indicating consent.
Wil Gafney: Bilhah’s sexual subordination to Rachel (with or without the possibility that Lavan used her sexually previously) evokes for me the sexual abuse of enslaved Africans in the United States, Caribbean and other places.
Aaron Finestone: It could be argued that Bilhah and Zilpah were omitted as Imahot because of race and class.
betsy teutsch: Some of the rejection of Bilhah and Zilpah is due to class and race issues.
Judy Bolton-Fasman: Bilhah and Zilpah understand women who feel marginalized.

Ethiopians are some of the kindest, warmest and most religious people I have ever met in my lifetime. 🙏👯💖😊 And I am extremely grateful & happy to have forged such a beautiful friendship with Yigo and Yarit. 👐👐👐 I often hear that people fall in love with a country because of its people & now I finally know what that means.💝💝💝 Here we are in Debre Zeyit, an hour's drive from Addis Ababa, kind of like their "Tagaytay." With 5 beautiful crater lakes (what a coincidence!), it is a popular weekend getaway for locals for fresh air, calm, and change in weather. 🌁🌁🌁 I went with Yigo's tour company Endless Ethiopia Tours <endlessethiopiatours.com> and I highly recommend booking with them for your travels around Ethiopia! He's my friend so he will take great care of you! 👌👌👌 Ethiopians and Pinoys have soooo much in common, you will be surprised! 😋😋😋 #Ethiopia #EndlessEthiopiaTours #DebreZeyit #CraterLakes #AddisAbaba #Friendship #Grateful #Blessed #Happy #CherylTiuTravels #EthiopianAirlines #EthiopianAirlinesPH

History of the Jews in Spain: When did the Jews first arrive in Spain? There are hints from the Bible that the lands of the western Mediterranean were well known to the Israelites. Around 970 BCE Solomon formed an alliance with Hiram of Tyre, the king of the Phoenicians, providing Hiram with sailors who had a knowledge of the sea equivalent to that of the Phoenician sailors. The territories of the Israelite tribes of Asher, Zebulon, and Dan were part of Phoenicia and some early Spanish Jewish documents actually refer to those tribes as having descendants living in Iberia. The Bible implies that expeditions to Spain were routine as early as the tenth century BCE.

Grace: Unfortunately, there’s no proper Ethiopian restaurant in the Philippines which is why Cross Cultures by Cheryl Tiu sought out Helina Tesega [whom Cheryl said she stalked on social media] to prepare an authentic Ethiopian dinner for Filipinos to experience. The result was a sumptuous menu served in Gallery Vask last week. It was a sold-out event, a clear sign that the Filipino dining crowd is open and excited for more flavors and culinary ideas! Helina Tesega personally explained each dish that was served that night. Ethiopian cuisine is not formally served; similarly to Filipino or Asian ways, food is really meant more to be shared than plated individually. For this event though, we were treated to single servings so that we could savor and enjoy each dish slowly, one dish at a time. What a delightfully exotic evening discovering Ethiopia’s rich, flavorful food. It was a wonderful introduction to a whole new world of foreign herbs, spices, and cooking traditions. Congratulations Cheryl on Cross Culture’s first successful event. Looking forward to more delicious and culturally rich events in the future!

John D. Keyser: For some reason, Dan must "wait" for salvation

Chrisee Dela Paz: At present, Ethiopian Airlines has flights to Bangkok, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo in the East Asian and Southeast Asian regions.
Tewolde GebreMariam: Manila will be our strategic point of access to the Southeast Asian neighboring countries by availing excellent connectivity options. Our flights to Manila will also help strengthen trade and investment ties between Africa and Asia.
