WIKIPEDIA: According to the Bible, Galilee was named by the Israelites and was the tribal region of Naphthali and Dan, at times overlapping the Tribe of Asher's land.
Bnei Bilhah are of an ancient origin. In the Hebrew migratory tradition begun more than two millennia ago, an Israeli remnant migrated into Africa with many Danites from Northeast Africa migrating back to their tribal allocations in Israel, such as Tel Aviv, besides emerging Naphtalite communities throughout Mainland Africa, including Levitical Islanders from Haiti, Jamaica, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, as well as a Mixed Multitude comprising the African Diaspora from the United States of America settling Southwest of the Sea of Galilee.
Kathleen de Villa: After Nigeria, where about 6,000 Filipinos are employed, the delegation will also visit Liberia, which has around 150 Filipino workers, according to DMW Undersecretary Jainal Rasul Jr.
David Mark: What makes Biafra all the more crucial for the future of Sub-Sahara Africa is that it is made up of an overwhelming number of Igbo. The Igbo believe they are descended from Israel and self identify as Israelites. With this in mind It is not surprising that in the Biafran Civil War, Israel actually gave supplies and support to Nigeria’s Southern region, which is where much of its industry and oil are. The irony is that the Igbo, as they begin to decolonize their religion and culture, have exemplified far more indigenous behavior than their fellow Nigerians. This is what makes Biafra important. It is a region experiencing a return to its ancient Hebrew roots and should be supported in its desire and drive to do so.
SHAI AFSAI: Igbo Jews are practicing a joyous, forward- looking rabbinic Judaism, composing their own prayer melodies, continuing to learn Hebrew, and attempting to foster relationships with Jewish communities outside of Nigeria.
Though they lack centralized leadership and are not concentrated in a small geographic area, the Igbo Jews have in some ways come to resemble the Abayudaya of eastern Uganda or the San Nicandro Jews of southeast Italy.
George Robinson: "Re-Emerging: The Jews of Nigeria" is one of those peculiar documentary films that makes a sort of nonsense of everything I know about film and art. On the one hand, the film, which is produced, written, directed, shot, and edited by Jeff L. Lieberman, is a baggy, often shapeless mess, meandering and repetitive, filled with side roads that lead nowhere, and a narration that borders on the amateur.
More seriously, the film misses an opportunity to explore the function of Christianity in a post-colonial Africa, although it is smart enough to raise the issue.
There have long been rumors of a more direct connection between the Igbo and Judaism, and ~ in a country currently torn apart by Christian-Muslim sectarian violence ~ the idea that a third religious element could emerge is certainly intriguing.
Henry Abramson: First of all, it’s important to understand that Spain has a triangular culture, specifically: Christians, Muslims, and Jews.

Irene Orleansky: The first historical account of Jewish presence in Ethiopia came from a 10th-century Jewish merchant and traveler Eldad Ha-Dani. He recounts that when the Northern Kingdom tribes of Israel went to war against the Southern Kingdom tribe of Judah, the Danites, who were renowned as skilled warriors, refused to fight against their kinsmen and left Israel for Egypt.
Irene Orleansky: I contacted a group of Jews in the Kechene neighborhood of the northern part of Addis Ababa, who claim to be descendants of Beta Israel who migrated from Gondar to North Shewa.
Nadene Goldfoot : From the Book by Eldad: In 883, a letter was sent to the Jews of Spain by a Man Calling himself Eldad from the tribe of Dan, one of the Lost Tribes. He said that he and a Jew from the tribe of Asher got on a small ship in order to do trading with the men on board and by midnight and wind came up and the ship was wrecked. Here they were out in the water and they found some box to hold onto and were cast on shore. The native people there were the Romranos who were black Ethiopians, tall, naked and were cannibalistic. The Jew of Asher was fat, and they ate him.
Nadene Goldfoot : The Tribes of Dan, Naphtali, Gad and Asher lived in Ancient Havilah, where Gold was, and they Trusted in Gd, Who helped them. Every year they made war with the 7 kingdoms and 7 countries. The kingdoms were Tussina, Kamti, Duba, Tariogi, Takula, Kakrma and Kalom which were on the other side of the rivers of Ethiopia. These 4 tribes had gold and silver and precious stones, many sheep, cattle, camels and asses. They farmed, lived in tents and traveled and lived in tents from border to border. Their king's name was Uzziel. Every 3 months a different tribe goes out to war and stays away for 3 months. What they bring back of the spoils of their enemies they share with their own tribe. The only other people who have seen the descendants of Moses were the 4 tribes who dwelled near each other, Dan, Naphtali, Gad and Asher who lived on the other side of the river of Ethiopia.
Jon Entine: Not only did they [Lemba] show Kohanim markers, more than 60-65% of [the Lemba Priesthood] have the same Kohanim marker that is found in less of a percentage — 55% — of American and European Jews. On the male line, [Lemba Priests] are more Kohanim, more coherently and consistently Jewish than American Jews or European Jews. It's absolutely remarkable. On that one line that we could trace, right now — the Y-chromosomal line — the male surname line of [Lemba] are almost certainly descendant from the Semites. Zimbabwe was named after 'The Great Zimbabwe': The Great Zimbabwe was certainly built by Jews.
William Sanchez: Hi, this is Bill Sanchez.
DNA expert: Mr. Sanchez, I don't usually call people up, but when we got some of the data from you, it was pretty interesting, so we decided that we'd give you a call. Do you know that you might be descendant from Priests?
William Sanchez [laughs]: Yah, it makes sense. I am a priest.
Stunned Silence.
DNA expert: You're a Priest?
William Sanchez: Absolutely!
DNA expert: Om, well, I don't mean a Catholic priest. I meant Jewish Priest.
Jon Entine: Nearly half of the 70 family members of William Sanchez were found to be embedded with the J-1 or J, which definitely marks them of Semitic ancestry. Many of them have direct ancestry that probably indicates that they are Kohanim. A half a dozen of Sanchez's cousins have begun the formal process of conversion to Judaism or are just openly declaring themselves Jews recognizing that, under Jewish Law, they are not considered kosher Kohanim and this is absolutely startling.
Irwin and Elaine Berg: Trefor Jenkins showed that 50 percent of the Lemba Y chromosomes were Semitic in origin. DNA tests of Jewish Cohanim, or descendants of the Israelite priestly class, show that over 50 percent have a specific marker known as the Cohen Modal Haplotype. CMH was found in more than 50 percent of the Buba clan. According to Lemba tradition, a male named Buba was the founder of the Buba priestly clan. It appears that Buba was a Cohen. Many find the idea that they must convert before they are accepted as Jews insulting. There is considerable discussion among them over whether they should accept conversion.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM): France is paying, today, the price of its aggression against Muslims and its hostile policy towards Islam. As long as its soldiers occupy countries, such as Mali and Central Africa, and bombard our people, in Syria and Iraq, and as long as its stupid media continues to undermine our prophet, France will expose itself to the worst.
Aloysius Beauvier: We must be careful, in the pageant, that we neither hide Donald Miller nor put him Forward. Brendan Flynn: Because of the color of his Skin? Aloysius Beauvier: That's right yah.
Rabbi Elyahu Kin: The Jews living in Israel are only from about 2-3 Tribes. We wanna know where everybody else is because part of the prophecies clearly state that they will be coming back and joining us. A very important prophecy has yet to be fulfilled and that is the coming back of the 10 Lost Tribes. Very soon, when we do discover them ~ the 10 Lost Tribes ~ what it means is that our family will grow and, once again, there will be akhdut: there will be unity between all the Tribes. For the most part, the Tribes that were in the South were Shevet Y'hudah-Binyamin-and Shim'on. Everybody else were in the North. They were placed in Assyria (Assyria was a large area that comprised of portions of Turkey, Armenia, Iraq: that was Ashur.) and Iran. The commentators explain that even though that's where they were driven they did not stay in one location. They continued Eastward, so we're expecting to see the Tribes move on towards The East and populate a larger region, a larger area than they initially occupied. The Ten Tribes are not the only ones that went into exile. There's a very special group called the descendants or Children of Yitro, the father-in-law of Moshe. A very special group who observed certain strict laws based on what their father instructed them to do. The third group that is most fascinating of all is B'nei Moshe, the Children of Moshe, also a separate group that also went into exile. Now, it is possible that even portions of Y'huda and Binyamin went along with them. We have Jews that are from Georgia who observe Torah and Mitzvot just like everybody else and, most likely, they're not from the 10 Lost Tribes simply because they've been in touch with us all the time. They have the full tradition: the Oral and the Written Word, so Jews in that area may be those portions of Y'huda and Binyamin that went into exile with the 10 Lost Tribes. The Levi is not the Children of Moshe; anybody who is a Levi today is most likely not from the Children of Moshe; he's just from the rest of the Tribe. The Children of Moshe were exiled in different ways and in different directions, somehow taken by a cloud and placed on the other side of the River Sambatyon: a River that throws up stones 6 days a week and right before Shabbat the River rests, so we have a description of this River, as you can see in this Midrash: it's a little bit of a question whether there's any water in the River because one version seems to say that it's a River of stones and sand that has some sort of volcanic activities 6 days a week and one description says that there's water; it's a regular River. In any event, this group called B'nei Moshe is on the Other Side. I say the Other Side because according to the Midrash that said they went to the Sambatyon~the group of Tribes~some of them came close to Sambatyon and the others went Beyond the Sambatyon. It is a big difference between the two of them, but those that went Beyond the Sambatyon are surrounded~protected~ by this River. Nobody should bother them. In other words, there's a group of Jews out there that, according to our tradition, are completely observant~this B'nei Moshe~till this very day, righteous, they have their own king, they're not to be bothered, and, therefore, not everybody will be able to know where they are because the idea is not to bother them. There are many ways that He can hide it. There have been reports, supposedly, by astronauts and others who have seen something strange in the area of Viet Nam. Even though it's there, you may not be able to see it. Nevertheless, we know it exists. As far as Ramban is concerned, it's hidden. There is one opinion that this River was hidden during the time of the Inquisition. Some say it just stopped working. It was a beautiful land full of only clean animals. No unclean animals. Very, very wealthy with their own king. Apparently, it still exists. They will all come back from all sorts of places that you could never imagine them from coming, including a place called Sinim. M'Eretz Sinim. China. There are 2 opinions as to where they actually went, whether it was some going to Africa or some going to Asia. The majority opinion is that this is in Asia, except 1 or 2 Tribes. They're gonna come from all corners of the world. Some of them are gonna come back with Moshiakh ben Yosef. Yosef brings his share. Moshiakh ben David is in charge, if you can call it that, of bringing the rest of the Tribes back, so there will be an effort made, and there are efforts being made, as we speak, by various groups and organizations to try to find out where they are. Some of them are actually coming back. Now. As we speak. Some of them are in Israel all ready. Y'huda and Binyamin are all ready making aliyah. According to our tradition, there is a group or two that did go to Africa. There are over 1,000,000 B'nei Menashe and many have come to Israel. Many are still waiting to come.
Rabbi Elyahu Kin: We are living in the Generation of Moshiakh.
Soul Mazal : Torah's Ancient Light: Africa and Judaism. Just...Interesting, and quite different. Ten Lost Tribes? The infusion is probably much needed; soul into Judaism is a good endeavor.
